Crime Blotter: Sutton Middle Students Steal iPhone; Another Pillowcase Home Burglary

Also: Atlanta Police arrest suspects who entered a home armed with handguns and shotguns and stole valuables from victims.

The following police reports were filed Sept. 1-7 by Zone 2 of the Atlanta Police Department and submitted to Buckhead Patch. During this period, the zone filed 126 police reports. All information is presumed to be accurate. Buckhead Patch is providing some of the reports filed in this blotter.

Residential Burglary, 2800 block of Ridge Valley Road NW
9/4/13 at 11 a.m.
Suspect broke rear window of location, entered residence and stole a pillowcase and several pieces of jewelry. There are no known suspects at this time.

Other Larceny, 2188 DeFoors Ferry Road NW
9/7/13 at 1:45 p.m.
The victim listed his iPad for sale on Craig's List and agreed to meet a man at the location. The victim was met by two African-American men, no other description provided, in the parking lot. One had a wad of cash in hand and the other viewed the iPad. While they were discussing the iPad, the man looking at it took off behind Collier Ridge Apartments. The other man attempted to leave, but the victim grabbed the man's shirt and he threw the wad of cash at him. It was $250 of the victim's $600 asking price. The suspects texted him from phone number 303-569-9595.

Residential Burglary, 900 block of Mt. Paran Road
9/5/13 at 1:28 p.m.
The suspect broke the rear patio door, entered the location and stole the TV, computers and receipts. There are no known suspects at the time.

Other Larceny, Sutton Middle School at 2875 Northside Drive NW
9/3/13 at 3 p.m.
Two students were charged with theft by receiving stolen property after taking an iPhone from the victim's backpack.

Robbery-Residence, 600 Garson Drive NE
9/1/13 at 4-6 a.m.
The arrestees entered the victims' home armed with handguns and shotguns, demanded all of their valuables, struck one of the victims in the back of the head with a shotgun and then left. Two of the suspects were later stopped and placed under arrest.
