Crime Stoppers Offers Reward in Buckhead West Village Assault Case

A $2,000 reward is available from Crime Stoppers Atlanta for information leading to an arrest and indictment in this attempted sodomy case.

Atlanta police and Crime Stoppers Greater Atlanta are asking for the public's help for information on an attempted assault on a woman in the Buckhead Village area.

On Dec. 14, 2013 in the area of 3188 Roswell Road close to 2 a.m., a white and/or Hispanic male in hs early 30s impersonated a taxi driver to pick up a 23-year-old female. She was walking from the club area early that Saturday morning.

The suspect attempted sodomy on the woman, but she was able to flee.

The suspect was driving a black sedan. The forensic sketch accompanying this article was completed by the FBI.

A reward of up to $2,000 is being offered for information leading to the arrest and indictment of the person or persons responsible.

Any information on the case can be submitted anonymously online to Crime Stoppers Atlanta, via the tip line at 404-577-TIPS (8477) or by texting CSA and the tip to CRIMES (274637). Persons do not have to give their name or any identifying information to be eligible for the reward of up to $2,000.
