Traffic was stalled on West Paces Ferry Road for a considerable amount of time Tuesday, after Monday night storms caused a large tree to fall across both lanes early Tuesday.
Officer John Chafee of the Atlanta Police Department Office of Public Affairs said that no vehicles were damaged by the fall and that the scene was turned over to Atlanta Fire Rescue (AFR).
The east bound lane was cleared first by AFR to allow vehicles to pass through. Another crew arrived later to finish clearing the west bound lane.
