Early Morning Armed Carjacking in Buckhead Loop Parking Lot

Two unsuspecting men each have a gun pointed at them during the early Wednesday morning incident.

Atlanta police say an armed carjacking took place in a Buckhead Loop retail parking lot shortly before sunrise on Wednesday.

According Officer Kim Jones, a man pulled into the DSW Designer Shoe Warehouse/Old Navy parking lot around 6:45 a.m. Shortly after exiting his vehicle, another vehicle approached and a man got out.

That man pointed a gun at the victim’s head and made him lay on the ground according to the responding police officer’s narrative. The man told police that the suspect, after pointing the weapon at him, “racked the gun and a bullet round fell on him.” The victim later picked up the bullet round off the ground.
