Five Grand Stolen From Andrews Entertainment District ATM

An employee told police on Thursday in Buckhead, "that there have been thefts of large sums of money in the past."

An ATM located within the Andrews Entertainment District in Buckhead was emptied of $5,000 late Thursday afternoon.

According to the Atlanta police report, the machine, located within a series of clubs and bars at 56 Andrews Drive including Andrews Upstairs and Stout Irish Sports Bar, had been loaded with the money around noon.

Around 6 p.m., the “door of the ATM was found open” and the money was discovered missing by an employee.

Authorities were shown a video and according to the police narrative, the footage depicted “what appeared to be two-to-three males, all dressed alike, all wearing a white Kangol hat, walking up and down a flight of stairs directly across from the ATM around the same time that the money was thought to have been stolen.”

The video was described as not having “clear quality.”
