Freedom Riders Reaching Finish

After more than 1,000 miles, group near New York City for Sept. 11 10th anniversary

The Aaron's Freedom Riders, headed along the Atlantic Coast in New Jersey, are closing in on their destination, New York City.

On Sunday, they plan to be there to commemorate the 10th anniversary of Sept. 11 and honor their fellow firefighters and other first responders lost in the terrorist attacks.

. Since then, they've climbed mountains, crossed the Blue Ridge Parkway and seen the monuments in Washington, D.C. Buckhead firefighter and crew are in sight of finishing their magnificent adventure.
