Friday Morning Armed Carjacking in the Heart of Buckhead

Male victim says two men stole his car after he had parked at the Terminus office complex.

A man told police he was carjacked at gunpoint early Friday morning outside the Terminus office complex in the heart of Buckhead.

According to Atlanta Police Officer Kim Jones, the victim stated that at approximately 6 a.m., he parked his car in the roundabout at the Terminus complex and exited the vehicle to make his way to a nearby gymnasium.

At this point, a forest green Dodge Intrepid pulled up behind him, whereupon a black male exited the car with a gun. The suspect demanded the victim’s car keys and gym bag and after the victim surrendered the items, the suspect told him to “get the [expletive] out of here.”

The victim described the driver of the Intrepid as a Hispanic male and said both suspects appeared to be in their early 20s. Both cars sped off in the direction of Georgia 400.

At approximately 7:30 a.m., the Intrepid, which matched the description of a car previously stolen, was found abandoned near Interstate-85 South and Buford Highway.
