Atlanta Police said there has still been no arrest made in the aggravated assault of a woman who is now paralyzed after a strange man picked her up and dropped her at a Buckhead bar. Friends and family of 38-year-old Consuela Tippins will hold a fundraiser for her on Saturday, Aug. 31, at Faith, Hope and Deliverance Temple,759 Joseph E. Boone Blvd. NW, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. All funds raised will go to Tippins' medical bills and construction costs to make her home more accessible in her current state.
Tippins was at Wet Willie's at the Lindbergh City Center in Buckhead on Aug. 3 celebrating her friend's birthday. A man she did not know picked her up despite her repeatedly telling him not to do so.
The man then lost his balance and dropped Tippins, who landed on her head and was unconscious. The man fled the scene and has still not yet been located. Tippins was unable to move her arms and legs once she regained consciousness.
Tippins is the mother of four children, with her youngest child being 5 years old, according to Fox News Atlanta.
