Kojack Now Patrolling Atlanta's Streets

The newest member of the Fulton County Sheriff's Office certainly has more hair than Telly Savalas.

The Fulton County Sheriff's Office has announced the swearing in of Kojack, the newest K-9 deputy. The two-year-old Belgian Malinois was sworn in Wednesday morning by Sheriff Ted Jackson, 11 Alive News reports.

Kojack is replacing Marco, who was put to sleep earlier this year following a terminal cancer diagnosis. Marco's handler, Sgt. Corey Henry, was instrumental in selecting Marco's replacement.

The newest deputy dog is specially trained in drug detection, tracking, and apprehension of criminals.
