Lone Robber Holds Up Buckhead Bank Friday

Teller believed the suspect was armed and that she would be shot if she did not comply with his demands.

A Wells Fargo bank in Buckhead was held up by a man Friday who allegedly made it known that he was armed.

The teller at the bank, which is located at 3393 Northside Parkway just south of West Paces Ferry Road, was presented a note that demanded money by a tall, black male dressed in black.

According to Atlanta Police Sgt. Greg Lyon, the teller believed that the suspect “was armed and that she would be shot if she did not comply.”

The man escaped with an undisclosed amount of money around 11 a.m.

Persons do not have to give their name or any identifying information to be eligible for the reward of up to $2,000 for the arrest and indictment of the suspects.
