Man Falls 11 Floors at Ovation Buckhead Plaza Condos

A man has fallen to his death at a Buckhead condo building.

The Atlanta Police Department reports that a man fell to his death from a high-rise condo building in Buckhead on Monday morning.

According to Officer Kim Jones, around 5:14 a.m., Buckhead Zone 2 officers responded "and located a male lying on the ground unresponsive." The man was found outside of the Ovation Buckhead Plaza condos on Peachtree Road.

Police officers learned that the man lived on the 11th floor of the high rise condominium building, and believe he fell from that floor to his death.

Sgt. Greg Lyon told Buckhead Patch that, "the deceased was discovered by (another condo resident), who was asleep in his bed when he suddenly heard a loud thud so intense that it woke Saunders from his sleep," According to Lyon, "instantaneously Saunders went out onto his balcony to see what transpired, and as he looked around he realized that someone had fallen to the ground."

Police told Buckhead Patch late Monday that, "there were no signs of foul play and this is believed to be a suicide although that could change pending the outcome of the Medical Examiner’s investigation."
