No one was injured in a shootout that was possibly a thwarted carjacking on Thursday around 1 a.m.
According to 11 Alive, the shooting began outside of Sixt car rental store near the intersection of Rumson and Peachtree roads.
The victim said he was taking photos in the dark when two men in a dark sedan pulled up to him, pulled out a gun and demanded his keys.
The victim pulled out his own handgun and fired it at the suspects, according to the report. The suspects drove away and the victim ran to nearby Fellini's to report the incident to police officers there.
