Police Arrest Armed Robbery Suspect

Atlanta Police arrested a 38-year-old man they believe is responsible for an armed robbery early Wednesday morning.

Atlanta Police arrested a 38-year-old man they believe is responsible for an armed robbery early Wednesday morning.

A woman on the 500 block of Wimbledon Avenue told police a man wearing a dark hoodie pointed a silver handgun at her and demanded she turn over any belongings around 12:30 a.m. Wednesday.

Police then canvassed the area with information about the suspect's car and clothing from the victim.

Officers found the man driving on Peachtree Street at North Avenue.

The victim's iPhone and purse was recovered in the car, along with the handgun and hoodie described by the victim.

The suspect is charged with possession of firearm during felony commission and armed robbery. According to police, he is a convicted felon currently on probation.

Two 23-year-old men in the car with him were also changed with armed robbery.
