Police Need Help Catching Suspect in Buckhead Assault Case

Atlanta Police Department investigators and Crime Stoppers Greater Atlanta are asking the public for information on attempted sodomy, and have a reward for help leading to an arrest and indictment.

A reward of up to $2,000 is being offered for information leading to the arrest and indictment of the person or persons responsible.

Police say a white male suspect in his 20s picked up a 20-year-old female on Dec. 20, 2013, in Buckhead near 2828 Peachtree Road by offering a ride to her hotel. The suspect drove the victim in his black Dodge Ram to an area away from the hotel and assaulted her.

The victim was able to flee from the scene and notify police. The forensic sketch was completed by the GBI.

Any information on the case can be submitted anonymously to the Crime Stoppers Atlanta website or call its tip line at 404-577-TIPS (8477), or by texting CSA and the tip to CRIMES (274637).
