Police Need Help Identifying This Bolton Road Robber

The Family Dollar Store on Bolton Road was robbed at gunpoint on February 15th.

The Atlanta Police has released surveillance camera footage of a man suspected of robbing the Family Dollar store located at 2567 Bolton Road, near Marietta Blvd.

According to Officer John Chafee a male entered the store, purchased a pack of gum, and then produced a handgun. "The suspect took approximately $400 cash before exiting the store," he said.

The cashier of the Bolton Road store told officers that the suspect entered her store around 7:40 p.m. on February 15th. She described the suspect as 5' 9" and wearing a black hoodie, blue jeans, and white sneakers.

The female cashier explained to police that the, "male pulled out a silver handgun and stated 'give me the money!"' According to the filed police report, she told officers that the man, "then walked around the counter and took the drawer out of the cash register taking approximately $400.00 out of the cash register and exited the store."

This robbery occurred the same day as another Family Dollar robbery on Moreland Avenue. The two cases may be related, and the police are also looking for the public's assistance in identifying those suspects.
