News Nearby: Police Search for Shooting Suspects

The 30-year-old shooting victim has sustained severe injuries and is fighting to stay alive.

The College Park Police Department is searching for two people who may have been involved in the shooting and serious wounding of a College Park man on June 29.

30-year-old Marquel Dalcoe is fighting for his life after being shot at least six times outside a gas station on Fayetteville Road in Clayton County. FOX 5 Atlanta reports that doctors have been forced to amputate Dalcoe's leg because of the wounds he has sustained.

According to police, the two suspects in Dalcoe's shooting are Dalcoe's ex-girlfriend, identified as 28-year-old Shanice Jamila Weaver and her current boyfriend, known to authorities only as "J." J has a distinctive tattoo police hope will lead to his identification.

Investigators believe that on June 29, Weaver and J had gotten into an argument outside the gas station. J returned to the car, Weaver handed him a firearm, and J shot Dalcoe at least six times.

If you know the whereabouts of Weaver or J or can provide any information that may help investigators, please contact Crime Stoppers at 404-577-TIPS.

Additionally, if you wish to donate to the Dalcoe family during their time of need, a fund has been established here.
