SWAT Team Responds to Fugitive Barricaded in Buckhead Home

The Atlanta SWAT Team was called when a man led Atlanta Police on a short foot chase in Buckhead and then barricaded himself in a Buckhead apartment late Thursday night.

According to Atlanta Police, officers noticed a known wanted man driving in the area of Peachtree Road and Colonial Homes Drive and attempted a traffic stop on Colonial Homes Drive near North Colonial Homes Circle.

However, the vehicle sped away from officers and the driver then jumped out of the vehicle a short distance away. Officers pursued the suspect, identified as 25-year-old Jesse Choren, on foot and saw him enter an apartment in the 200 block of South Colonial Homes Circle.

When the suspect refused to leave the apartment, Atlanta Police set up a perimeter and requested SWAT to the scene.

At approximately 1 a.m., the suspect left the apartment and spoke to police.

There are several warrants out for the arrest of Choren, but Atlanta Police does not have the details of them at this time.
