VIDEO: Man Steals $57,000 Watch from Lenox Jeweler

Police are looking for the suspect in the Mayors Jewelers incident, which was captured on surveillance video.

Atlanta Police are looking for a suspect that stole a watch valued at $57,000 from a Lenox Square jewelry store.

Officers were dispatched on July 3 to inside Lenox Square, where they learned that a male suspect initially entered the store and asked to view a Rolex watch. He then viewed the watch and left the store, the report states.

The suspect came back a short time later, however, and asked to see the watch again. He was then taken into a back room to try the watch on. At that point, the suspect put the watch on and ran out of the store.

The incident was captured on surveillance video, which was released to the media by police on July 13.

The suspect is described as a black male, about 5'9" and 180 pounds. He was wearing a pink shirt and blue shorts at the time of the incident.

Police are asking anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers at 404-577-8477.

When a luxury store like this is so poorly guarded, it makes it easy prey for would be criminals to steal expensive items. In the video footage, it seems like the security guard is no where to be seen. They need to beef up security if they want to prevent such cases from happening again. - http://www.jzandf.com
