UPDATE: Names Released in Fatal Ga. 400 Accident

The accident caused all lanes of Ga. 400 North to be shut down for several hours.

Names released in deadly Ga. 400 accident:

Frampere Ingle, 24, has been identified as the driver that entered Ga. 400 at Lenox Road going southbound in the northbound lanes causing Wednesday's two-fatality accident, according to a report by the AJC.

The northbound driver Ingle collided with has been identified as Eric Hanks. Hanks died at the scene, police said. Ingle, of Marietta, died at Grady Memorial Hospital following the crash.

A passenger in Ingle's vehicle, whose name has not been released, was severely injured and hospitalized in critical condition, according to police.

Zone 2 units responded to an accident at Ga. 400 north bound near Lenox Road.

A preliminary investigation showed a driver entering the freeway from Lenox Road traveling south bound in the north bound lanes.  The wrong way driver collided head on with another vehicle that was traveling North on Ga. 400. 

The driver traveling North on Ga. 400 died at the scene.  The driver traveling the wrong way on the freeway was transported to Grady Hospital and later died from their injuries sustained in the accident. 

There was a passenger in the vehicle traveling the wrong way that is listed in critical condition with severe injuries. 

It appears alcohol may have been a factor in this accident. 

The wrong way driver and the passenger in that vehicle were not wearing seatbelts at the time of the collision.  

At this time, next of kin has not been notified for any victims, therefore, names are not being released, police said.

A Code Red traffic alert was issued for GA 400 North this morning after a fatal crash occurred there between I-85 and Lenox Road in Buckhead, shutting down all northbound lanes. 

The accident occurred because of a wrong way driver, police said.

According to a report from 11 Alive News, the accident happened around 4:20 a.m. and involved four cars.

Traffic was cleared around 7:46 a.m., police said. 

Atlanta Police representatives stated more information will be released upon completion of an investigation.
