Transportation Investment Act: Voters from the 10-county metro Atlanta region decide whether to impose a one-percent transportation special-purpose local-option sales tax for the next 10 years that will fund a list of 157 transportation improvement projects.  as well as throughout metro Atlanta. Where do all of the candidates in the upcoming election stand on this issue?

District 5 House of RepresentativesRep. John Lewis (D-5th District), who represents much of Atlanta's city limits, including Buckhead, has served Congress in the 5th District House seat since 1986. Redistricting changed lines for the 5th District and now includes more of North Atlanta. Lewis now has a potential Republican opponent in Atlanta divorce attorney Howard Stopeck as well —if he can best Democrat challenger, Fulton County Judge Michael Johnson.

District 6 State Senate Seat: State Sen. Doug Stoner (D-Smyrna) has a tough battle ahead to keep his seat in District 6.  now includes more Republican territory, Sandy Springs and Buckhead. : Hunter Hill, Josh Belinfante and Drew Ellenburg.
 

District 11 U.S. House of Representative: Congressman Phil Gingrey (R) faces a redrawn district that includes Buckhead and is full of new constituents and three challengers to his seat as Georgia's District 11 Representative. Republicans William Llop and Michael Opitz and Democrat Patrick Thompson qualified against him in May.

District 53 State House Seat: Incumbent Elly Dobbs decided not to run after the district was changed substantially during the Reapportionment Session of the Legislature last summer. Now combined with District 44, Dobbs had been paired to run against incumbent Democrat Sheila Jones. On the ballot with Jones are democrats Jason Esteves and Robert Patillo.
