Buckhead's W Hotel Property Receives Foreclosure Notice

Owner working with lender to restructure debt

A foreclosure notice has been issued for the building housing the W Atlanta Hotel in Buckhead, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported.

The property, a former Crowne Plaza, was renovated into the  Starwood boutique brand in 2008, the AJC said.

Mit Shah, chief executive officer of Atlanta-based Noble Investment Group, which owns the W property, told the newspaper that the company is working with Prudential, the lender, to restructure the almost $62 million loan that matures in November. The foreclosure notice was first advertised in July, the newspaper reported.
