City of Atlanta Alcohol Technical Advisory Group (ATAG ) II Bi-Monthly Board Meeting

The City of Atlanta’s Alcohol Technical Advisory Group (ATAG) II will hold its regular bi-monthly Board meeting on Thursday, May 17 from 6.00 pm – 8.00 pm at Atlanta City Hall in Committee Room #1 located on the second floor of 55 Trinity Avenue, SW..

The public is encouraged to attend.

The Board is composed of 17 members appointed by the Mayor, City Council and community and business groups. They have been tasked with examining and recommending changes to the City of Atlanta’s Alcohol Code which deals with the licensing of establishments that sell liquor, beer and wine, as well as the enforcement of such laws. As part of their review, ATAG II is required to conduct at least one public hearing in each quadrant of the City.

The Board is expected to make final recommendations to the City Council by December 2012.

The City of Atlanta Alcohol Technical Advisory Group (ATAG) II was established through legislation introduced by Post 1 At-Large Councilmember Michael Julian Bond and passed unanimously by the City Council.
