Mitt Romney Appears in Buckhead Wednesday Afternoon

GOP presidential candidate Mitt Romney will make an appearance in Buckhead Wednesday afternoon.

Romney will be at Bottega Stone, which makes custom granite and marble countertops, from 3:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday, according to the Romney Web site. The business' web site said it is hosting Romney in its showroom.

Those wishing to attend the event at 129 Armour Drive can sign up online. People can also RSVP to TeamGA@mittromney.com or call 404-923-0578, The Atlanta Journal-Consitutiton said.

The candidate will then go to a private fund-raiser at the W Hotel in Midtown.

Romney, whose campaign was surging after victories in Florida and Nevada, received a setback Tuesday night when Rick Santorum won caucuses in Colorado and Minnesota and a non-binding vote in Missouri. Newt Gingrich, whose campaign headquaters are in Buckhead, is expected to announce this week when he will campaign in Georgia, WXIA, Channel 11 reported.
