Patch Poll: Too Much Money in Politics?

Big money is playing an even bigger role in presidential politics this year.

The Supreme Court's Citizens United ruling ended limits on corporate spending and brought the rise of so-called Super Pacs. GOP candidate Mitt Romney has been criticized for spending big bucks to fund negative campaign ads, and Newt Gingrich drew headlines for receivng money from Las Vegas casino mogul Sheldon Adelson.

President Barack Obama came to Atlanta Friday for fund-raising events, reportedly including a dinner at TV/movie producer Tyler Perry's Buckhead home that raised $36,000 per donor. Buckhead has also been a fund-raising mecca for Republican candidates.
