703 New Residential Units Proposed Near Buckhead Triangle

Prominence of Buckhead would start construction in 2015 and be completed by 2017.

An Atlanta developer has preliminary plans to build two residential buildings in the Buckhead Triangle area that would add 703 residential units near Piedmont and Lenox roads.

Crocker Partners, a real estate investment firm based in Boca Raton, Fla., is behind the proposed project at 3475 Piedmont Road, just off Lenox Road.

A principal with the firm, which has $4 billion in real estate under management, did not return a telephone call Tuesday, but in a filing with the Georgia Department of Community Affairs, the project would be called Prominence of Buckhead.

The residential units would be constructed in two buildings, along with 1,055 new parking spots.

The project, which would begin construction in 2015 and be complete in 2017, would supplement the existing 442,295-square-foot-building already on the property.

If approved, the project would continue an ongoing trend in Buckhead of apartment construction.

Since Jan. 1 of 2012, developers have announced some 3,549 apartments under development in some stage in Buckhead.
