Popular Buckhead restaurant Aria has been named a winner of OpenTable Diners’ Choice Awards for the top 100 restaurants in the United States that specialize in American food. The list of winners is derived from more than 5 million reviews submitted by OpenTable diners for more than 15,000 restaurants in all 50 states and the District of Columbia.
Based on feedback collected from OpenTable diners between November 2011 and October 2012, the 100 award-winning restaurants received the highest scores. For more information about all of the restaurants on this list, check http://www.opentable.com/american.
Since opening in spring 2000, Aria has been on the top of the list for Atlanta fine dining. Just a year into business, Esquire Magazine recognized Aria as one of the country’s best restaurants. Chef and owner Gerry Klaskala delivers top-notch regional dishes that are both sophisticated and edgy in style. Klaskala’s version of “slow foods” includes dishes such as the always popular Zinfandel braised beef short rib. The wait staff’s passion is evident in their exceptional service, always full of energy and happy to offer suggestions. In addition to the contemporary cuisine and impeccable service, the atmosphere is an experience in itself. The modern bar and lounge area is the perfect place for a pre-dinner drink. Contrastingly different from the dimly-lit and dark bar, the main dining room is open with white walls and white-linen tables. Decorated with two jeweled canine sculptures, silk tapestry, and a highly- talked about chandelier, it’s hard to miss Aria’s artistic inspiration.
