Buckhead businessman named to Agnes Scott College board

Wes French selected for Decatur school's panel.

Buckhead resident and entrepreneur Wes French has been elected to Agnes Scott College's board of trustees.

French is co-founder of the investment advisory firm French Wolf & Farr, according to a news release.

The mission of Agnes Scott College, located in Decatur, is to educate women to “Think deeply, live honorably and engage in the intellectual and social challenges of their times.”

For several years, French has served on the Agnes Scott board’s Investment Committee, overseeing the investment of the school’s endowment.

At FWF, French brings almost 30 years of experience in financial services. In addition to advising clients on investment policy and implementation, he provides expertise in all areas of wealth management, including tax-efficient wealth transfer strategies, retirement planning, insurance planning and banking advice.

French is also a member of the board of trustees of the Atlanta History Center and the Wesley Woods Foundation. He is a member of both the Buckhead Rotary Club and the Buckhead Lions Club, where he is past president.

He is also active at Peachtree Road United Methodist church, where he recently served as chairman of the Finance Committee. He has been active on several development committees for the Atlanta Area Boy Scouts of America and is an honorary board member of Trinity Community Ministries.

A graduate of Davidson College with a bachelor’s degree in economics. Wolf and his wife, Anne, have three children and live in Buckhead.
