Buckhead Schools Feature National Scholarship Winners

The winners will receive $2,500 scholarships.

Several students attending Buckhead schools are among 2,500 students who have won $2,500 National Merit Scholarships.

The winners were chosen from more than 15,000 finalists.

The National Merit Scholarship Corp. finances the scholarships. The winners are selected by a committee of college admissions officers and high school counselors.

The students may use their awards at any regionally accredited U.S. college or university.

Is this article only reporting about private school winners, or were there also winners from the public schools as well? For comparison's sake, it would be interesting to see how public school students achieved versus the 4 private schools listed. It's always such a hot debate and this being a national award may help some draw some conclusions.
