The Episcopal Diocese of Atlanta Presents: Ministry Fair 2012

The Great Gathering begins the day at 9:30 a.m. This year, the Great Gathering speaker is Stephen C. Smith, Ph.D., research chemist in the Division of Parasitic Diseases and Malaria Center for Global Health at the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention in Atlanta.  A St. Bartholomew’s parishioner, Smith addressed the 105th Annual Diocesan Council last November in Rome regarding Episcopal Relief and Development on the science of eliminating malaria. He will share some important information about the part that the nets play in saving the lives of children and their families in sub-Saharan Africa.  And you will hear all about how your parishes are working to provide 35,000 bed nets and the education component that makes this program work.

There are three workshop sessions and a wide array of topics to choose from!  Registration is open so check out the workshops, make your choices, then click on the Register for Ministry Fair link!
