School Board's Final APS Redistricting Vote Set for April 10

Superintendent Erroll B. Davis Jr. plans to post preliminary proposal Sunday

APS School Superintendent Erroll B. Davis Jr. is planning on posting his final redistricting plan Sunday, March 4 on the APS website.

"The goal is to post the final recommendations" on Sunday, Buckhead school board representative Nancy Meister told the North Atlanta Parents for Public Schools Wednesday. The school board will receive Davis preliminary recommendation at its Monday meeting, Meister said.

After Davis , including one March 13 at , Davis will make a final plan, which the board will vote on April 10, she said. "That's when the final recommendation will be presented to the board," she said.

The APS has posted on its web site the updated timeline for the final stages of the redistricting process. According to the timeline, Davis will post his final decision April 9 on the web site. See the accompanying PDF for the new timeline dates.

Davis was meeting with demographers on Wednesday and will hold meetings with his executive staff Thursday and Saturday and with individual school board members Friday, Meister told the NAPPS, which held its monthly meeting at the
