Atlanta Public Schools Board of Education member Nancy Meister is hosting a community meeting on Tuesday night following the announcements that North Atlanta High Principal Howard Taylor will resign and is being promoted.
The community meeting will be held at Garden Hills Elementary from 6-8 p.m. to discuss North Atlanta High with Associate Superintendent Steve Smith. The meeting was announced in an email sent out to North Atlanta High parents and students at 11:16 p.m. on Monday.
On Friday, Principal Howard Taylor announced that he would resign as of Dec. 1 to head up a high school in Gwinnett County. On Monday, APS announced that Taylor would instead be promoted to North Region Executive Director following a transition period.
