North Atlanta Students to Attend Governor's Honors

Three named finalists for prestigious summer program

From Patch Reports

Three students are state finalists in the Georgia Governor's Honors program, APS announced.

The program is a four-week instructional initiative held at Valdosta State University that is designed to provide intellectually gifted and artistically talented high school students challenging and enriching educational opportunities not usually available during the regular school year, APS said.

The Governor’s Honors Program is fully funded by the Georgia General Assembly, the announcement said. Students are nominated, interviewed and selected in specific instructional areas.
