Pace Academy to Host 32nd Annual Pace Race in April

The Pace Race on April 12 benefits the Pace Academy Booster Club, which helps enrich and expand Pace's athletic opportunities and facilities.

Pace Academy invites all members of the community – runners, walkers and spectators – to its 32nd annual Pace Race on Saturday, April 12, 2014.

The Pace 1-Mile Fun Run/Walk begins at 8:30 a.m., followed by a 5K at 9 a.m. Races begin and end in the rear parking lot of the Pace Academy campus, located at 966 W. Paces Ferry Road.  

This fun-filled family event benefits the Pace Academy Booster Club, which helps enrich and expand Pace’s athletic opportunities and facilities. The Isdell Family Foundation is the Presenting Sponsor of the 2014 Pace Race.  

Each participant will receive a Pace Race T-shirt and refreshments provided by Goldberg’s, Publix, Flying Biscuit Café and Starbucks. DJ Cisco will be there as well to spin his tunes and energize the crowd.

Trophies and gift cards will be awarded to the top three overall boy and girl finishers for the 1-mile race, and to the top three overall male and female finishers for the 5K race. In addition, medals will be awarded to the top three finishers (boys and girls) in grades Pre-First through eight, and in the following age groups: 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59 and over 60.

Participants may register in advance at www.paceacademy.org/pacerace. Registration is also available from 7:30 – 8:15 a.m. on the morning of the race. Registration is $25 per person.
