Pace Academy's Knightly News Wins GSPA Prize

The GSPA assists Georgia high school media programs and students by encouraging their production of quality publications and broadcast programs through instruction and contests.

Pace Academy’s Upper School newspaper, the Knightly News, placed first in the state in the medium school category of the 2014 Georgia Scholastic Press Association’s (GSPA) General Excellence competition.

The GSPA assists Georgia high school media programs and students by encouraging their production of quality publications and broadcast programs through instruction and contests. The GSPA awards one all-state winner and three General Excellence awards – one in each of the small, medium and large school categories.

Co-editors-in chief Wilson Alexander and Hayley Silverstein lead the Knightly News. Other staff members include Dean Papastrat (web/tech editor), Sam Rubenstein (news editor), Wylie Heiner (opinion editor), Julia Beck (features editor), David Martos (sports editor), Aaron Wasserman (online editor), Josh Blank, Grace Francour, Max Greenberg, Joe Loughran, John Morrison, Elizabeth Roos and Josh Sloan. Lee Wilson serves as faculty advisor.
