Ambassador Andrew Young will serve as Commencement speaker, while Rabbi Philip Kranz was chosen to address students and families at Baccalaureate.

Below are the two short biographies that Pace Academy listed on their website of their prized 2013 speakers.

Andrew Young - A true public servant and a leader on the national and global stage, Ambassador Young has served as a minister, a Congressman, United Nations Ambassador and Mayor of Atlanta. His leadership of the Atlanta Olympic Games, his advocacy of investment in Africa through GoodWorks International and the establishment of the Andrew J. Young Foundation are all a response to his call to serve. He confronted segregation with Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and was a key strategist and negotiator during the Civil Rights Movement. We are thrilled Ambassador Young will join us for this important event in the life of our school.

Philip Kranz - Rabbi Kranz served as Temple Sinai’s Senior Rabbi from 1980 until his retirement in 2006 when he became Rabbi Emeritus. He remains active at Temple Sinai, teaching, writing and overseeing collection building in the Rabbi Philip N. Kranz Learning Center. Kranz was also influential in authoring the Lower School Holiday Program.
