Pace Seniors to Graduate Saturday

84 to receive diplomas in ceremony at Peachtree Presbyterian Church

Internet entrepreneur Jeffrey T. Arnold will speak at graduation ceremony at 4 p.m. Saturday at .

Arnold, the founder of Web MD and chairman of Sharecare, will speak about "curiosity." He is the creator of Discovery Communications' "The Curiosity Project," in which 250 "thought leaders" will give answers to the questions of life, according to a Pace announcement. The multi-year series "Curiosity" will be broadcast on the Discovery Channel, beginning this summer.

The school's valedictorian is Michael Hopkins, and the salutatorian, Kate Hornor.

Hopkins, of Atlanta, was captain of the varsity math team his senior year, a service leader for the Atlanta Community Food Bank and a member of the Mu Alpha Theta club. He ran varsity track and cross country and participated in the Governor's Honors Program.

Hornor, who lives in Decatur, was a Pace ambassador for four years, a service leader her junior and senior years and a member of the math team and varsity gymnastics and cross country teams.

On Friday, the class of 2011's 84 graduates and their families will hear the Rev. George Andrews speak at the baccalaureate ceremony in the school's Fine Arts Center. The baccalaureate service will be at 4:30 p.m.

The Rev. Andrews retired after 18 years as headmaster of the St. Andrews School in Boca Raton, Fla.
