Running Teams to Participate in 24-Hour Relay at Westminster

Event this weekend benefits Habitat for Humanity

Teams will run for 24 hours straight this weekend at the annual cross-country relay at

Westminster senior Tripp Henningson, a member of Westminster's state championship cross country team, is spearheading the event, which benefits the school's Habitat for Humanity program. The relay was begun by legendary coach Paul Koshewa, the school said.

In the event, teams of 10 run for 24 hours straight within a rotation. The relay begins at 7 a.m. Saturday and ends at 7 a.m. Sunday at the Westminster track.


There is no fee to enter the relay, but monetary pledges are sought for each mile run by a participant. The pladges can be donated by friends, family, or the participant.
