Westminster Names New Elementary School Principal

Kristi Ann Kerins named to position after national search

Kristi Ann Kerins has been named principal of Westminster's elementary school, according to the Westminster Web site.

Kerins will replace Lee Friedman, who is retiring at the end of the year after 10 years leading the school. She will begin work on July 1, the announcement said.

Most recently head of  the Phillips Brooks School, grades pre-school to fifth, in Menlo Park, Calif., Kristi has  39 years of experience in educational leadership, Westminster said.

The appointment follows an extensive national search conducted by Carney, Sandoe & Associates, led by the school's Search Advisory Committee. 

Kerins earned her bachelor of science and elementary education degree from Skidmore College in New York, and a master's in education, administration and supervision from Virginia Commonwealth University in Virginia.
