Georgia State Adult/Senior Open Tennis Championship

The Bitsy Grant Tennis Center (BGTC) hosts the third consecutive Georgia State Adult/Senior Open Tennis Championship, an adult tennis tournament for players of all ages, Aug. 6-9. The tournament includes men’s and women’s open events as well as senior events. Singles and doubles play kicks off on Saturday, Aug. 6.  The finals take place on Tuesday, Aug. 9. 

Don't miss the Family Fun Festival on Saturday, Aug. 6 and Sunday, Aug. 7, from 10-4pm. The Festival will feature exhibitors providing treats, tennis merchandise, athletic apparel, a Moonwalk jumping machine for kids and much more. Free tennis lessons will also be offered to young children (ages 5-10) through the United States Tennis Associations’ QuickStart program. QuickStart will be offered on Saturday and Sunday from 2 – 4 p.m.

On Saturday night, take part in the Bitsy Open—A New Grand Slam from 7-10 pm to celebrate the opening of the newly renovated BGTC. Tickets cost $100 and all proceeds go towards the Friends of Bitsy Grant, a non-profit organization dedicated to the preservation and revitalization of BGTC. Wear you tennis whites and spend the night cooling down with a Bitsy Sour and reminiscing to songs from the jukebox.  To purchase tickets to this event, please click here and fill out the donation form.
