Masters Champ Bubba Watson Celebrates Win in Style at Waffle House

Masters champion Bubba Watson, his wife, Angie, and friends celebrated at a Waffle House after the former Georgia Bulldog won the golf tournament.

What’s the best way to celebrate winning one of professional golf’s most prestigious events?

For Masters champion Bubba Watson, who won his second title at Augusta National Golf Club in three years on Sunday, the best way to top off his win was with a family trip to Waffle House.

Watson, a former Georgia Bulldog, tweeted a picture of the celebratory chow-down Sunday night. He wrote: “Champ dinner @WaffleHouse! #hashbrowns #covered” His wife, Angie, is in the photo, and his pastor also reportedly joined the party.

The two-time Masters winner edged Jordan Spieth and Jonas Blixt by 3 shots on Sunday. ESPN says that Watson was on a dry streak after winning the 2012 Masters title; he didn’t win another championship that season or any titles in 2013.

After winning the 2012 Masters, Watson told The Golf Channel he loved the restaurant and wanted “a grilled cheese from Waffle House and hash browns” for his traditional champions dinner. He ended up with a caesar salad, grilled chicken breast with sides of mashed potatoes, corn and green beans, reports USA Today.
