Unassisted Triple Play at Chastain Makes National News

Video of an unassisted triple play by little leaguer Ross Bernath has gone viral.

Six-year-old Ross Bernath made an unassisted triple play during a recent game at , as reported by USA Today. The video of the play has gone viral on YouTube and been featured on ESPN.

Ross made the unassisted triple play which, in the history of even Major League Baseball, only 15 of have ever been recorded dating back to 1909.

Ross caught a pop fly for the first out, stepped on third base to out the runner there for the second one, and tagged out another runner trying to advance for the third out.

According to the NYO Little League website, Ross already made at least one or two unassisted double plays this season and he has recorded all three outs in an inning on several occasions.
