30319 Rocks 2012 Peachtree Road Race

A new map released by the AJC shows the top participating zips in metro Atlanta, and Brookhaven's is tops.

As we draw closer to the July 4 , the biggest 10K in the world, the number of runners that can be seen along Brookhaven and Chamblee roads like Dresden Drive, Clairmont Road and even Peachtree Road itself seems to increase with each weekend leading up to the big event.

This begs the question: Just how many Brookhaven 30319 residents will be participating among the estimated 60,000 runners in this year's big race?

The answer is: more than any other zip code! The 30319 zip, which contains most, if not all, of Brookhaven, as well as slivers of Buckhead, the city of Atlanta and unincorporated Fulton, has more participants than any other metro Atlanta zip code.

Are you running in this year's race? Let us know in the comments below!

The Atlanta Journal Constitution, sponsor of the Peachtree Road Race, recently released a map showing the top participating zip codes in the metro area.

OK, so who's running in this year's Peachtree Road Race besides my wife?

I'll be there taking photos Tim, does that count?
