True Stories of Buckhead from Thornton Kennedy
Buckhead Heritage Society hosts Thornton Kennedy's Unique Spin on Buckhead History
My friend Thornton Kennedy will share stories ripped from the headlines of his Northside Neighbor column to weave together a history of Buckhead. Sensational, gripping, and unusual, these true stories will expose defining moments in the community’s evolution. “Buckhead could have been Terminus” and “Fire allowed city to annex Buckhead” are just a couple of the headlines Kennedy will reflect upon. Thornton is a sixth-generation Atlantan and an Atlanta and Buckhead enthusiast. He is currently the President of PR South, Inc. and previously served as the editor of the Northside Neighbor and an editor at the Atlanta Business Chronicle. Since 2011, he has served as a columnist for the Northside Neighbor and often writes about Buckhead history. The event is sponsored by the Buckhead Heritage Society.
