For outdoors enthusiasts, a membership to Livable Buckhead will support the nonprofit organization's efforts to make Buckhead more sustainable. Livable Buckhead organized the successful eco-collection event last year, and is sponsoring the Buckhead Collection effort to increase the amount of parks and trails in Buckhead's 7th District. Here is a link to membership options.

To help Livable Buckhead's Ga. 400 trail, sponsor through the Buckhead Business Association's Bucks on the Street program. Give a friend or loved one a buck for a business, and he or she can decide how they want it decorated.

Staying with the outdoors theme, the is offering a $25 special through Dec. 30 on annual memberships. Receive discounts on classes and workshops and receive free invitations to members' events while supporting a worthwhile cause.

Support Buckhead's newest park, , by buying a brick to be placed at the site on Peachtree-Dunwoody Road. You can have a name of a special person or persons engraved on the brick. The park's playround will be completed for the new year.

If you or someone you know is interested in Buckhead's rich history, a membership to the Buckhead Heritage Society would be the perfect gift. The heritage society is involved in preservation work at Buckhead's historic sites, and sponsors lectures and other special events.
