For outdoors enthusiasts, a membership to Livable Buckhead will support the nonprofit organization's efforts to make Buckhead more sustainable. Livable Buckhead organized the successful eco-collection event last year, and is sponsoring the Buckhead Collection effort to increase the amount of parks and trails in Buckhead's 7th District. To help Livable Buckhead's Ga. 400 trail, sponsor through the Buckhead Business Association's Bucks on the Street program. Give a friend or loved one a buck for a business, and he or she can decide how they want it decorated.

Staying with the outdoors theme, the is offering a $25 special through Dec. 30 on annual memberships. Receive discounts on classes and workshops and receive free invitations to members' events while supporting a worthwhile cause.

Support Buckhead's newest park, , by buying a brick to be placed at the site on Peachtree-Dunwoody Road. You can have a name of a special person or persons engraved on the brick. The park's playround will be completed for the new year.

If you or someone you know is interested in Buckhead's rich history, a membership to the Buckhead Heritage Society would be the perfect gift. The heritage society is involved in preservation work at Buckhead's historic sites, and sponsors lectures and other special events.
