Week Ahead: City Budget Hearing; 'Stop the Meanness' at Buckhead Library
These are your Monday Essentials: get the goods on what's happening in (or affecting) Buckhead this week.
Monday
The City of Atlanta Budget Commission holds a hearing on the proposed FY2014 budget at noon at Atlanta City Hall.
The Atlanta Public Schools Board of Education will hold a special legislative meeting at 3 p.m. at the Center for Learning and Leadership auditorium at 130 Trinity Ave. The board will vote on the request for a tax levy for its general fund balance adn on a request for a tax levy for its bond sinking fund.
Wednesday
The Buckhead Library hosts "Stop the Meanness, Spread the Kindness," an American Girl workshop at 12:30-2:30 p.m. For ages 5-13.

Thursday
The featured speaker at the Buckhead Business Association's weekly breakfast is Virginia Hepner, the President and CEO of the Woodruff Arts Center. The event lasts from 7:30-9 a.m. at the City Club of Buckhead.
