Participate in a Latin American Holiday Celebration or Social Volunteering Project

A bank offers free admission to museums while a church hosts a holiday market this weekend.

La Posada at Intercontinental Hotel Buckhead: The Latin American Chamber of Commerce - Georgia announces its XIII Annual “La Posada”  A Latin American Holiday Celebration to take place at 7 p.m. on Dec. 6 at the Intercontinental Hotel, Buckhead. “La Posada” is a Holiday tradition in Latin American that brings together families and friends during the December festivities to sign, dance and enjoy a meal together.

 

Northside Drive Holiday Market: Come out and shop locally on Dec. 7 at 9 a.m. at Northside Drive Baptist Church, 3100 Northside Drive, Atlanta 30305. More than 20 local artists and crafters will be selling their wares to help you get your holiday shopping wrapped up. Come and enjoy the holiday atmosphere while you shop with vendors offering photography, quilts, jewelry, personalized gifts, and more. Located indoors in the Fellowship Hall; look for the signs.

Social Volunteering with Community Bucket Plants & Pints: Join Community Bucket volunteers from all over Atlanta in a large tree planting effort with Trees Atlanta on Saturday, December 7th. When we finish the hard work, we'll be celebrating the end of the year with drinks, food and more at Whitehall Tavern.

Keep Atlanta Beautiful - Buckhead: Second-Ponce de Leon Baptist Church: 2715 Peachtree Road, NE Atlanta, GA 30305. Bring your old electronics, #6 styrofoam, paper for shredding or recycling, latex paint, single stream recycling  (cardboard, tin/aluminum cans, paper,plastics 1-7), and metals to our Buckhead Recycling Center on Saturday, Dec. 7, from 10 a.m-3 p.m.

Bank of America's Museums on Us: Dec. 7-8, Bank of America and Merrill Lynch cardholders can celebrate the holiday season with free admission this weekend to Atlanta History Center and High Museum of Art.
