Recycle in Buckhead, Then Refresh at the Chastain Park Arts Festival

Buckhead residents also have a last chance to view two art exhibitions

Keep Atlanta Beautiful Buckhead Community Recycling: Bring your old electronics, #6 styrofoam, paper for shredding or recycling, latex paint, single stream recycling  (cardboard, tin/aluminum cans, paper,plastics 1-7), and metals to our Buckhead Recycling Center on the first Saturday of each month from 10 a.m-4 p.m. Fees apply on some items. Please see our Community Recycling page for more information and a list of accepted and prohibited items.

Artists, Artisans Gather at Chastain: The fifth annual Chastain Park Arts Festival will be held Saturday, Nov. 2, 10 a.m.-6 p.m., and Sunday, Nov. 3, 11 a.m.-5 p.m. Sponsored by the Atlanta Foundation for Public Spaces, it will feature 185 fine artists and artisans along the tree-lined Park Drive. Visitors will enjoy fine art and crafts, a children’s area and local food and beverage concessions including the “gourmet” food trucks. Local acoustic musicians will enliven the atmosphere.

Last Chance to View Artist's Work: Renowned artist John Baeder shows his paintings and photographs at Mason Murer Fine Art, with the exhibition ending Saturday, Nov. 2. View his iconic paintings of Americana and his photographs of Atlanta in the 1960s, In conjunction with Atlanta Celebrates Photography. Women in Focus also displays their annual juried group show.

Jiha Moon: Foreign Love Exhibit Ending: The art exhibit at the Museum of Contemporary Art of Georgia ends Saturday, Nov. 2. Jiha Moon (born in DaeGu, Korea) lives and works in Atlanta. Jiha Moon has been working in three areas for this exhibition: works on paper, ceramic sculptures, and Norigae (traditional  Korean clothing accessories) as art objects.

Bank of America's Museums on Us Nov. 2-3: Bank of America and Merrill Lynch cardholders can take in a cultural experience with free admission this weekend to Atlanta History Center and High Museum of Art through the Museums on Us program. One free general admission limited to cardholder at participating institution, excluding fundraising events, special exhibitions and ticketed shows the first full weekend (Saturday and Sunday) of each month.
