Buckhead's Neighborhood Planning Unit A unanimously approves Pace Academy's plan
A November vote for a penny sales tax for schools could deliver hundreds of new elementary school seats to the Buckhead area and pay for a high school that's already on the drawing board.
As the clock neared 1 p.m., one man had to hustle more chairs into a quickly filling meeting room at the Buckhead Theatre, where the Buckhead Coalition held a meeting to instruct business owners on obeying liquor, noise and special event laws.

Buckhead would be divided into two districts, one heavily GOP and the other overwhelmingly Democratic.
The changes also would carve up Buckhead into four state Senate seats instead of the current five. And a House Democrat from the other would have to face a fellow incumbent to keep her seat.
