Drivin' n' Cryin' rocks Buckhead
Buckhead Music Festival continues Saturday at Buckhead Theatre
The spirit of Atlanta and Athens music was out in force Friday night for the kickoff of the first Buckhead Music Festival, celebrating the first anniversary of the renovated Buckhead Theatre's reopening. Drivin' n' Cryin' headlined the night of four acts, opening with "Fly Me Courageous," closing with "Straight to Hell." They gave tribute to the talent of Georgia musicians from the Allman Brothers to Deacon Lunchbox with their 2009 CD title song "Great American Factory," and encored with a fun jam session as Jason Isbel, who'd performed just before as Jason Isbell and the 400 Unit, joined them on Thin Lizzy's party anthem "The Boys are Back in Town."
