Fallen Trees Knock Out Power on West Wesley Drive and on West Paces Ferry

A nearly 30 foot tree falls on power lines during early morning rains in Atlanta.

Trees fell in 2 different Buckhead locations on Saturday morning.  Residents living near the 1400 block of West Wesley Drive woke up to no power this morning after rains and wind brought down a large tree on nearby power lines. WSB-TV is reporting that a homeowner in the NW Atlanta neighborhood, "heard a popping noise at about 5 a.m. before discovering the fallen tree, which knocked out power at several homes." Georgia Power was on the scene working to restore power, and Atlanta Police officers were redirecting traffic this morning to West Wesley Parkway. In addition, a tree was reported down at West Paces and Rembrandt Road.
